We, The LaVergne Ladies Group, enjoy active membership in the Women's
Active for Christ of our association. We want to welcome any
and all ladies to join us as we "Labor together with GOD" ( 1 Corinthians 3:9 )
to fulfilling the "Great Commission" in and through our church,
families, community and the world.
The group has the tremendous blessing of having Sister Cleo Purcell as
a member. She established the organization in 1972 with an objective of
giving women more effective ways of helping missions around the world.
First and foremost, through prayer
- then to help educate others of their
sacrifices and burdens as they serve. Her effects have been further
blessed as we now have marked days each year as fundraising across the
nation and a Provision Closet at the FWB National Office that is
furnished by donations to provide household items for missionaries.
Our monthly meetings are usually held on the second Sunday of the month
at 5:00pm. We hold friendly, informal fellowship that includes business
activities, helping other Christians and missionaries in various
capacities (especially in what they
are in greatest need, PRAYER).
Then, if time permits, we end the meeting with the monthly program from
the Co-Labor, the WNAC magazine.
We pray fully anticipate your visit in the future and look forward to
sharing the joys of serving our LORD and SAVIOR together for HIS glory.
